With over 25 restaurants in Melbourne and 5 in Sydney, Melbourne’s home of all-you-can-eat Japanese dining is coming to Canberra on Friday 4th June. Mawson marks the first Canberra location, offering over 30 Japanese dishes in its ‘all-you-can-eat’ feast for just $36.80 per person with seniors and children discount applied.
Different from the traditional buffet present all food on the table, every dish at Okami is freshly made to order and served to the table. The portion size varies from the size of the group and is designed to share, so you can try more without being stuffed just after a few dishes.
At Okami, the menu is packed with varieties ranges of traditional Japanese dishes that you’d happily order at any other Japanese restaurant. The dish selection includes an indulgent beef carpaccio that is lightly seared, crunchy Karaage chicken, crispy yet silky Agadashi Tofu with fish flakes and soybean.
There are also freshly sliced sashimi and sushi platters, crumbed Chicken Katsu with a Tonkatsu sauce and ‘Takoyaki’, crispy octopus balls served with tangy wasabi mayonnaise, for the more adventurous.

Since opening in 2013 from humble beginnings in Hampton Melbourne, Okami has expanded to Sydney last August and Canberra this June, and they are confident to launch 10 – 15 more restaurants by the end of 2021.
